Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri is an Indian actress, who gained recognition for her performance in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. She started her career in early 1980s. The role she played as Anil Kapoor in Tezaab made her hugely popular. The next film she appeared in was Dil which she was on screen with Aamir. As a child, the Mumbai-born dancer began studying at a very early age. Early in her life, as she began to act as a child actress, most films that she made weren't successful. She found fame and became one of the top movie actresses. After her wedding, she took a break in her career before re-entering the film industry. In the last few years, Dixit had a major role to play in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize awarded to civilians in India, was bestowed upon Dixit. She is known for her charitable work as well.
