Ky-Mani Marley one of the best-known and wealthiest Reggae artists was born on 26 February 1976 in Falmouth Jamaica. In the cult film of the same name Shottas in which he was a co-star with Wyclef. Ky-Mani was signed to Shang Records where he recorded his debut album in 1996 like Father Like Son and several singles including Judge Not With Patra followed by Dear Dad" (which topped the British reggae charts) Who The Cap is (remix) and Sensimelia each of which contributed to his rising popularity in the new generation of reggae singers. Ky-Mani, as well as Praswell and Fugees (as members of Avenue) has a cult cover version by Eddy Grant called Electric Avenue was released in 1997. Marley appeared in Midem (international music showcase) when it was held in Miami for the first time. Marley played a live set in the Cameo Theatre, which was broadcast by Caribbean News Agency across 36 nations. Marley's name was the subject of a bidding war.
