Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born into a music-loving family. Growing up, she listened to many classical music and old boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16 under the tutelage of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. While a young student and professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved to the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. In addition to being an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of art and music has her involved in a range of projects. Ana is also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially in the younger generations, for keeping this music alive.
